The party!

Gavin had a bowling party with his friends. Gavin and Issac tied for first 81 - you know I had to mention that. Neighbor friends Cullen and Issac, school friends Austin and Donovan, Karate friends Joshua and Cooper, and Cousin Cody. We had a awesome cake decorated like a skate park. Everyone had a great time.

Happy 8th birthday to Gavin!

It was a great birthday for Gavin - no school (snow day)! Scott took the kids sledding so that I could prepare for the gift hunt. For Chloe's birthday I hid her presents and gave her clues on each one as to where the next one would be. I didn't know it was going to be such a big hit but it was and so I did it for Scott's and now Gavin's. Once they got home the kids and us had a blast finding and opening the gifts. He got a few hot wheels, googles for his 4 wheeler, label maker (yes he wanted this), benoroos, Legos, and a boom box (I am sure this is not what they are called any more but you know what I mean) for his MP3 player. It was good to be Gavin. We then went to Fazolios to eat dinner. Alfedo for the birthday boy!

A goal!

Wow I guess this means I have to do it now that I have posted it.

Temperature

The kids couldn't care less what the temp. is they just want to have fun. They are so lucky to have a great dad that will take them sledding. Because their wimpy mom wouldn't

Dinner without daddy

Ok I have realized doing this 365 photo challenge that we spend a great deal of time at the island in the kitchen. Here the kids are eating dinner while daddy is at the station. When Scott is not home the kids and I eat about 99% of the meals here. Also you can tell this is a Tuesday because Chloe still has her dance outfit on from dance class at 9am that morning (and we are eating dinner).

Getting ready

Tonight I was getting ready for bible study and Chloe decided to get ready also. She loves her some lipstick!

Water colors on a cold day

I am so glad Gavin isn't too old to do things like paint with us. I see in the very near future him not wanting to but for now I am glad I got the picture.

Monster Jam 2009

I think this is about the 4th or 5 time Gavin and Scott have went down to Indy to see the Monster Jam show. This year was a big deal because it was in the new stadium. Loud dirty trucks smashing cars - not really my thing. But they had a great time and I am glad for them. Chloe said she wanted to go next year!

Washing the new tupperware

Chloe really knows how to have a good time. She was so excited when I got out the new Tupperware I bought. She couldn't wait to clean it in the sink. I think it was a set of about 25 containers plus lids... wow that is a lot. And she cleaned and dried them all.

1/22/09

The p*** bowl

This post is not for the people with a weak stomach. Chloe was sick and I don't mean a stuffy nose, I mean the kind that needs a bowl. The bowl she is holding is called the puke bowl at our house. If the kids are sick this is the bowl we use. I don't know how it got its job. I acquired The bowl and the rest of the set from Scott's great grandma and really I like it. After the kids are better I clean it and I use it to make brownies or whatever. I guess I have never really thought about it but its really kinda gross when I put it that way.

My weakness.

I can remember when I use to get the 32 oz. and now I have moved up to the 44 oz. A fountain Diet Vanilla Coke is the best way to start your day!!

Chloe in her v-day dress

Couldn't leave Chloe out. Not too much to say just a cute little dress I found.

Four wheelin' in the snow

Scott took the kids out in the COLD today. They are so lucky he likes doing that 'cause I just do not like cold and playing in the snow. Chloe and Gavin did donuts in the snow!

sk8er boy

Finally got Gavin in the studio to get some (about 50) photos with his new Christmas present. He was loving it and after seeing them wants a reshoot for some poses he forgot. I have created a monster!!!

Thank you Krista!

Sat. I was invited to Krista's for a day of scrapbooking. She had some great chili for lunch and of course we had lots of sweets. Suzi and I drove together. Also I meet Amy (from Kokomo now living is Noblesville area) who scrapbooked digitally. I worked on my 365 photo challenge book and am very excited about how it is coming. Since then I have already changed one thing but as a whole I really like it. If you haven't started the 365 photo challenge already I really think you should. After only a few weeks I am already glad for what I have done. Even if you don't blog them its nice to have some of the small random things of daily life you will forget even next month. And you can start today it doesn't have to be at the beginning of the year!!

Building with Daddy's lincon logs

I am glad for another snow day cause I realized that I had a lot of Chloe pictures here lately. Gavin loves legos and things that make something. He loves to make things and take things apart (like his cars that are not for that) and see how it works.

Oh my is that me in another picture?!!!

Here we are all playing with Scott's giant cards he got from the gift exchange at Aunt Dar's. I don't know if you can tell from the picture but they are about 5x7. We were playing and Chloe keep saying Nemo and we couldn't figure out why she was talking about Nemo but really didn't think about it too much because she is always yaking. Then all of a sudden I realized why she kept saying Nemo... can you guess what we were playing.... GO FISH! She can really say some funny things when you least expect it. Fun night when it is below zero outside. The kids had another snow day because of the temp.

Snow day

This picture is funny because it show my kids just the way they are. Gavin is not 'playing' in the snow he has to have a job - shoveling. And Chloe is perfectly content running around making snow angles and enjoying the snow.

Dick and Jane

Chloe started reading about a 9 months ago and really didn't need a lot of help. I got this book from the library and she enjoyed reading it so much I got it and another dick and jane book for her to read. She loves reading any chance she gets. The funny thing is she will blow you away with her reading but can't tell the difference between a 12 and 21. I guess she is a typical girl.

Big girl sleeping

I took this picture of Chloe sleeping to remember how she always has to sleep with someone. It is someone different all the time but she must have a friend. And of course she prefers an animal of some kind. This is Cowie. Yes she has very creative manes for her friends. Kitty meow meow and Oikie are a few I can think of right now.

Second grade ain't what it use to be!

Here are the boys reading Judy Moody. For the month of January Gavin is to read at least a 100 page book and then take a test over that book. He has really come a long way this year with this subject.

Hard hard work!

Here is Chloe doing hard hard work as she would say. She had brought home a page of homework from pre-k and was so excited to get it done. The page was writing the word red and coloring red things. Very hard hard work!

On the net at 7 years old!!

Here is Gavin doing one of his favorite things. Playing on the (my) laptop and watching Sponge Bob. Life is good!

My new haircut

You know you got a hair cut when your own dad doesn't even realize its you for a good five minutes. But I am thankful to say that when Chloe came home from school and saw my hair the first thing out of her mouth was... 'I still love you even thuo your hair is short!" I think she meant it as a good thing but just didn't sound that way.

Back to school!

This was not my picture of the day it was Scott's but it out weighted my picture I took by far in excitement. And he gets points for thinking to take it. Today at about 10 til 4 I said to Scott I can't believe Gavin isn't home yet I hope Mr. Zell didn't forget to stop at our house (which he does) . So we waited until 4:00 and I called my neighbor and she said her boys weren't home either so Scott decided to head down the road to make sure everything was OK and this is what he found. What is hard to see from the picture is that if the bus had slid any more it would have rolled down a steep hill and things would have been really bad. As it turned out everyone was fine.

Last day of Christmas break!

I took this picture of my kids eating at Arby with only one drink and they shared their fries. My mom and dad took Gavin out for his birthday since they will be in FL for his birthday and he was so excited that he got his own big drink and fries. I always share the drink and fries between me and the kids. I never knew it was that big of a deal until then.

Christmas at Aunt Dar's house

I have to admit this picture is horrible but I had just gotten a call from my mom that my grandma had passes away so today was one of those just get a picture in and I didn't give any thought to it. In spite of my life changing news we did have a great time.

Big girls and little girls scrappin'

We scrapped at the south branch library and Chloe wanted to go so bad. After spending the night with hemi-charger papaw - Scott brought her around 1 or 2 and her and Mya had a great time. And the big girls had fun too. Krista had left before I thought to get a photo - sorry Krista!!

My office before

I bought new book shelves for my office so this is the before picture I took. And as soon as I have the shelves organized the way I want them I will post the after picture.

Sugar cookies from scratch

Jan. 1 Making sugar cookies from scratch - something I don't usually do. Chloe got a cook book from the library so I tried it. And the kids loved it and made great shapes with the cookies cutters.
