workin out

This was not my original picture for today. In my attempt to be in more picture I had Gavin take a picture of my on the machine working out but it was so bad I oped for this one. Upto 26 minutes today.

Yellow belt

Gavin tested for his yellow belt along with 'Soup' (Copper) with Naihanchi shodan ("first degree"), Nidan, and Sandan. Very impressive.

You don't have to keep it all

Well this is Gavin's work from preschool, pre-k, 1st grade and part of 2nd grade. I forgot to put the pile from k-grade up for the picture but it was a whole box of stuff. Also a few of Chloe's things up there also. I am sorting and taking picture of the big unscrapbookable artwork so that I can scrapbook his preschool years. I am going to do an ABC book with both years.

Chloe and Isabelle

Yikes I can't believe I am showing the playroom in all its glory. But this is why we have a playroom and this is what happens when two little 5 years olds play for the afternoon.

Strep

Chloe got strep throat today. She had to do the long q-tip (or 'ear tip' as she calls it) thingy down her throat and she knew it was coming and did everything in her power to avoid it. But Dr. O'Bainion got it down against her fight. So rest prescription, vitamins, and Motrin for today.

Karate niche

This was hard to photograph well so this is 3 photos merged into one to try and show Gavin's new Karate niche. We painted the strips to coordinate with the belts and then hung his awards from 2008. And in the lower part of the blue strip you can see his likeness that he made at school.

Tournament at Maconaquah High School

Gavin had his first tournament of 2009 and did really well. He got a 1st in Kata and a 2nd in Kumite. Good job! That night at the 2008 state banquet he received a 2nd in Kata, 3rd in Chanbara, and 4th in Kumite. Not too shabby for his first year competing.

outback

We had a fundraiser at Outback today for Champs. I don't remember ever having an 8oz. steak, baked potato and green beans for lunch but it sure was good. And all for $10 and a good cause. Shanon, Suzi, Scott, Chris and I!

Errands

Boring errands day today. Weight watchers, lion bank (I really wanted to get a picture of that but forgot when I was there), post office & library.
